Seattle-based builder Delta has announced the construction of a 66m motoryacht with an ice strengthened steel hull and composite superstructure, for an American family.
The yacht, due to be delivered in 2013, will have an expansive interior and increased fuel capacity to accommodate extended worldwide cruising.
Delta Design Group is handling the naval architecture and exterior styling which includes a fold-down beach cabana at the stern with bar, day head and sauna, an extra large sundeck with pool, and a private owner’s deck off the master stateroom.
The interior, designed by Diane Johnson Design, will see windows that reach from floor to ceiling, and grand foyers.
Powered by twin Caterpillar 3516 engines and carrying over 50,000 US gallons of fuel, the yacht will have a 5,000nm range at 12kt and a maximum speed of 16.8kt.
Quantum Zero Speed stabilizers and a Schottel bow thruster will be incorporated.
She is being built to Lloyd’s Register and LY2.
