Switzerland-based Floating Life International is to open a superyacht management base at Marmaris Yacht Marina in Turkey.

The company says that it will become the central base for its fleet in the eastern Mediterranean.

“The Marmaris opens new business horizons for us with owners from Turkey, Greece, Saudi Arabia and the Middle East, Russia and Eastern Europe,” explains Floating Life’s CEO, Andrea Pezzini.

“The large free trade zone near Antalya allows Turkish shipyards to offer up to 25 per cent in labour costs. This gives us 11 yards with a base cost for each yacht at 30 per cent below worldwide competition.”

Floating Life and Marmaris Yacht Marina will share joint exhibit spaces at this year’s Monaco and Istanbul boat shows to promote the venture.

Marmaris Yacht Marina has berths for 650 yachts and more than 1,000 spaces ashore. It is also equipped with a travel lift capable of lifting up to 330t.
