Heesen Yachts has signed contracts for two new projects, bringing this year’s total to four and increasing its order book to 14.
The first new contract is for a 50m (164ft) semi-displacement yacht signed in collaboration with brokers, YCO. A fully customised craft, she will have double-curved convex exterior glass and a convex curved freeboard. She will be over 500gt and conform to ABS A1 Commercial Yacht Service.
The second contract is for a 47m (154ft) yacht based on Heesen’s long-range displacement series which has been recognised at successive World Superyacht Awards in 2009 and 2010 in the best displacement motor yacht below 500gt category. She is designed to be capable of a maximum speed of 15kt at half-load with a range of 4,000nm at 14kt.
