Dutch superyacht builder Icon Yachts has launched its second superyacht and announced changes to its management team.
Project Florida, a 62.5m (205ft) motoryacht, hit the water on May 27, 2010. Project Florida sports an exterior design by Tim Heywood and interiors by Redman Whiteley Dixon.
The Harlingen yard has also consolidated its internal organisation with the announcement that Wim Koersvelt will relinquish his day-to-day involvement with the management team. Koersvelt will continue working with the yard in an advisory capacity.
Icon Yachts’ shareholders have appointed Jen Wartena as general manager. Wartena has been co-director since the yard began. Stephan Vitus is now responsible for new project development.
Based in the northern Netherlands, Icon Yachts specialises in modular yacht construction and currently has two 62.5m (205ft) yachts in build. Icon’s third yacht is scheduled for delivery in 2011.
