Four additional marinas are in firm negotiation with IGY Marinas to add to the portfolio of 11 that it already has in the US, Caribbean and South America. “The four include new countries and islands,” Bert Fowls, IGY’s press spokesman told SB.
“Our focus is the Caribbean and South America,” he adds. This year IGY moved into South America with a project in Colombia and its most recent addition is in Puerto Rico. It is understood that all four of the projects include superyacht berths. “We should be able to say more in the coming months and maybe by the end of the year,” Fowls says.
Earlier this year IGY Marinas told SB that it had withdrawn from Europe where it had active projects in Greece and Croatia. There are no plans to return in the near future but the company is still monitoring the north Mediterranean market and having occasional negotiations.
As to Mourjan IGY Marinas where the focus is on North Africa, the Middle East and South East Asia, the Dubai headquartered company is active on projects in Morocco, Qatar, Russia and Abu Dhabi.
