Subsidiary of France’s Beneteau Group, Monte Carlo Yachts, has purchased Seaway Technologies’ Italian production site for an undisclosed sum.
The site adjoins Monte Carlo’s current facility in the Monfalcone marine centre in northern Italy, near the Slovenian border.
“We are equipping ourselves with a facility that represents the state-of-the-art in yacht production, outfitted with the best technologies available, including a 46m milling cutter unmatched anywhere in the world and a spray booth for the latest generation of superyachts,” says Carla Demaria, president of Monte Carlo Yachts.
Seaway Technologies is the Italian division of Slovenia’s Seaway Group, a leading provider of design, engineering and tooling services to production sailboat and powerboat builders.
The investment fits with the group’s strategy to use Monfalcone as an exclusive site for the production of large motor craft.
In addition to Monte Carlo Yachts, new ranges will also be announced shortly.
