Rene van der Velden Yacht Design in the Netherlands has moved to new premises in Amersfoort to accommodate a significant rise in business and prepare for future growth.
The Dutch design studio claims that its workload has grown steadily in recent years, thanks to a number of clients with repeat orders as well as new yachting enthusiasts.
“A substantial part of this growth is due to a higher demand for naval architecture services,” says the company. “As a result, our current office, which we have occupied since 1997, has become too small and inefficient to match our needs and ambitions.”
In addition to repairing and refitting yachts, Rene van der Velden has also designed some of the world’s leading superyachts. The company recently signed a contract to design Moonen’s largest superyacht to date, the Moonen 133.
