Italian shipyard Sanlorenzo has launched the SL108 Dandy Six. This is the 13th yacht built by the Ameglia (La Spezia) division. At 33m (108ft) long, the fibreglass planing flybridge has a beam of 7.4m (24ft) and a media room on the main deck.

The handmade interior is made of ash, interspaced with birch, while the salon is bigger than normal because the bulkhead has been moved closer to the bow.

Sanlorenzo says that while competing yards in Europe and the US witnessed a double-digit drop in sales during the economic crisis, turnover fell by just 6 per cent at the Italian yard on account of the company’s strong brand reputation.
