To help it keep pace with demand for a growing portfolio of superyacht models, Sunseeker has announced plans to employ a further 50 workers at its Osprey Quay facility at Portland in the south of England.
Osprey Quay is where the hulls of Sunseeker’s large yachts are built before being towed around the coast to it main yard in Poole for fitting out.
Most of the new employees will be composite technicians working on the lamination and moulding of the glass fibre hulls.
Sunseeker has been able to expand its workforce over recent years and this latest move means there will now be 140 workers employed at the Portland yard.
The company is currently building yachts in composite up to 50m and has plans to build even larger crafts with designs already developed for vessels reaching 180ft.
