Trend Marine Glazing in the UK has expanded into the superyacht market with the addition of a new ‘sag bending’ furnace and chemical glass toughening plant at its facility in Catfield, Norfolk. Trend is now able to produce and fit complex curved and laminated glass panels to the largest of yachts.
“The process allows for cone shapes and tight bends plus matching pairs to be formed in one operation,” says the company. “Designers can now specify precision laminated glass panels in exotic forms, allowing them a new level of sophistication in their designs.”
Part of the Taylor Made Group of companies in the US, Trend Marine Products makes marine glazing systems for yacht-builders worldwide. The company produces complete boat-sets from curved windscreens to complex doors and powered sunroofs for a wide range of yachts and superyachts.
