Marine interiors specialist Trimline is to begin offering superyacht refit services on Britain’s south coast. The company will operate from Halmatic’s former yard in Trafalgar Wharf, Portchester, with access to a 122m (400ft) wet dock, 121m x 4m (397ft x 13ft) shed and a lifting capacity of up to 60m (197ft) and 877 tonnes.
“We need to take the business forward despite the current difficult climate and it is a natural organic expansion using our core skills of project management, procurement and management of sub contractors,” says Trimline managing director Gary Oliver. “We have been using blue chip engineering, electrical and paint companies for years. We have also just worked very successfully on a 95m project containing significant engineering. All we are really doing is taking ownership of the full project. I am more comfortable with that.”
