To cope with increasing demand for its services, UK-based crew management company Viking Recruitment has decided to move to new environmentally friendly offices.

Located in the historic English port of Dover the firm’s new Viking House has been certified as being 80 per cent more energy efficient than conventional office buildings.

Viking’s trains crew and officers for the international superyacht and cruise ship sectors. Its superyacht clients include Lurssen Yachts.

“We are thrilled to be moving into this new ‘green’ property,” says Viking chairman Dieter Jaenicke.

“Over company has grown steadily in recent years and when we decided that we needed to move to bigger premises we made a conscious decision to seek out a property that would not only last us for the foreseeable future and allow for growth, but would also address some of the environmental problems that are so apparent in this oil-driven world.”
