US shipyard expands its product line with Bering 130. The new 40m model has been developed in association with Sabdes Design.

Bering Yachts has revealed details of Bering 130, a new 40m model designed to join its Expedition series and become the flagship of the Bering fleet.

The new model has been developed in association with Sabdes Design. The yacht features a beam of 9.3m, and a tall bow profile that provides the requisite buoyancy to rise up and over approaching swells.

Built in steel and aluminium, the Bering 130 is a tri-deck explorer vessel built in steel and aluminium. With a fuel capacity of 17,000 gallons she has been designed to travel well over 6,000 nautical miles, the company claims.

The US shipyard has chosen to equip the yacht with two Caterpillar C32 ACERT (1200 BHP @ 1800-2100 rpm). These engines would provide a combined power of 2,400hp.
