Burger Boat Company in the US has been commissioned to build a custom 31.55m (103.6ft) full displacement steel and aluminium Explorer motoryacht. The vessel is scheduled for a spring 2017 delivery and will be built to ABS classification.

Designer Luiz de Basto of Miami, Florida, was responsible for the yacht’s modern exterior and contemporary interior décor. Working closely with the owner, he has created an ocean-going, long-range explorer vessel that is ideal for cruising and fishing. It has a cruising range of around 4,000Nm at 9.5kt with twin Caterpillar C18 main engines.

Burger Boat Co builds custom yachts of up to 80m (260ft) in aluminium and/or steel. The company is based in Manitowoc, Wisconsin.

Burger was founded in 1863, making it one of the oldest custom yacht builders in America.
