Codecasa shipyard in Viareggio has announced that construction of the new Codecasa 43, full beam version (Hull F76), is on schedule for her launch in June 2016. Built on spec, the 43m motoryacht is the latest addition to the Vintage Series that the shipyard unveiled at the Monaco show in 2011.
Hull F76 follows the launch of motoryacht Magari in 2011 (Codecasa 42, Hull F73) and her sister ship Libra (Hull F75) in 2013. Motoryacht Gazzella (hull C121), the largest model of the series, touched water in December 2015.
The design of the new Codecasa 43 FB is based on the platform of the 42m but with overall length increased of about half a metre in the aft area. This, the shipyard claims, offers more comfortable working and service areas around the tender installed in the aft garage.
Whilst exterior styling is in-house, the interiors are work of Tommaso Spadolini who in collaboration with the in-house technical staff, developed a totally new layout.
“The major innovation is the full beam layout of the owner’s suite, located forward on the main deck as on the two Codecasa 42’s, but featuring larger spaces than on these two units, enabling to add also a private office inside the owner’s apartment,” explains the builder in a statement.
The yacht is equipped with two Caterpillar 3512C main engines (1.650 Hp each at 1,800 rpm) for a top speed of 16.5 knots in light displacement conditions and a range of 4,000nm at the cruising speed of 11ks. Her volume is slightly under 500 tons GRT.
In addition, Codecasa has confirmed to SB that another Codecasa 43 is under construction. Hull C122 is also built on spec and ready for delivered in summer 2017.
