Tankoa Yachts and Yacht-Ology have released details about the works in progress of its first S501 project. She was sold in February 2015 to an experienced French client, construction started in May 2015 and the project progresses on time for her delivery in April 2017.
Hull, deck and superstructure, all in aluminium, have been completed. They were moved from Marina di Carrara to enter in the completion the completion shed in Genova on 20th November.
Engines and generators are already in and fairing will be started in December. The interior mock-up has been approved by the owner and production of all the cabins was begun before the end of the year.
Commenting on the project, Michel Karsenti and Tankoa’s CEO, Euro Contenti, says: “We are extremely proud that the client, his surveyor and broker, Daniel Bussani from Aquila Yachting, decided Tankoa was the most suitable shipyard to built his new yacht after investigating a number of European builders”
Project S501 was one of the first initiative resulting of the partnership between Tankoa and Yacht-Ology right after Karsenti contracted S693, which was delivered last summer.
Tankoa’s management team and Karsenti have worked in close collaboration with Francesco Paszkowski to design this project.
Hull #1 of the Tankoa S501 will be a six cabin yacht including main deck full beam master and VIP suite, four lower deck guest cabins. A gym, home cinema, and a 7m tender garage are among the amenities as well as floor to ceiling windows and hydraulic balconies in the master cabin and on the aft deck.
This is a 499gt, full displacement yacht designed to offer a range of 5,000 nautical miles at 12ks and 16ks top speed. The Tankoa S501 will be entirely built in aluminium light alloy 5083.
