Paul Cave and Mark Seaton of Yacht & Villa International have been appoiinted exclusive worldwide central agents for the construction of project YSV62, a 62m Marimecs/Van Geest yacht support vessel.

Built by Dörries Yachts of Bremerhaven, Germany, the yacht has been designed for worldwide support of superyachts.

With a main deck area of over 300sq m, project YSV62 boasts space for storage of tenders and toys, landing and storing a helicopter, and yacht-quality supplementary accommodation to its mother yacht. Multiple configurations are possible.

The yacht’s designers describe project YSV62 as one “comfortable and sturdy ship with systems to commercial standards for build efficiency, easy maintenance, and reliable operations”.

In addition, her efficient hull form has been designed for low resistance, seaworthiness and comfort at sea.

Equipped with twin 2,240kW main engines, the yacht will have the capacity to reach a maximum speed of 18.5ks, a cruising speed of 17ks and a range of 6,500nm at her economical speed of 15ks.

For higher speeds, a triple engine option is offered giving maximum speeds of over 20ks.

The project has been drafted with a flexible layout allowing for customisation options such as a heli-garage, submarine storage, dive centre, fitness/spa area, entertainment area, and overflow guest/crew accommodation.

Further operational options including ICE-reinforced hull, or conventional, hybrid or diesel electric power.

The YSV62 is able to replenish the provisions and water supplies of the mother yacht with extensive storage for provisions available in the cooled and freezer areas as well as cooled waste storage.

Project YSV62 has build time of 24 months from contract signing.
