Feadship has handed over 57m (187ft) Halo to her owner. The fully custom motoryacht is now making her was across the Atlantic where her owner will experience their maiden cruise. With a cruising speed of 16 knots and a range of 5000 nautical miles, Halo has been specifically designed for world cruising.
Halo was officially launched in her owner’s presence at the Feadship Kaag yard, exactly on schedule in mid-August. This followed a record-breaking outfitting time of just 33 months.
The short project completion time has also been a testimony to an excellent relationship with Edmiston & Company, Edmiston Yacht Management, the interior design team from Bernardi Peschard and the exterior designers from Eidsgaard Design.
Over the past two months, Halo has been going through a comprehensive seal trial regime. The yard reports that the owner is pleased with the outcome.
Since launch the yacht has been especially praised for her striking exterior styling and fully integrated Apple TV platform. Other highlights include a sun deck of unprecedented size for a 57-metre motoryacht, with an innovative carbon fibre sun awning built into the canopy, which is electrically extended and retracted.
