Italian shipyard has appointed Francesco Carbone as general manager of its Yachting Division

The Palumbo Group has named Francesco Carbone as the new general manager of its Yachting Division. Giuseppe Palumbo, Palumbo chairman, praised Carbone’s longstanding experience in the boating industry.

“Francesco knows the yachting industry from the bottom up,” says Palumbo in a statement. “His professionalism, knowledge and experience over the international markets will be crucial to bring our yacht brands to the next aimed level. The recent acquisition of lSA Yachts confirms our long-term strategies.”

Carbone worked for the last eight years at Admiral-Tecnomar, as sales director and president of the American branch. For the previous eight years, he was head of the Strategic Business Unit at Natuzzi Group, the world’s largest upholstery manufacturer listed on Wall Street.

Carbone praised Palumbo Group’s half-century of shipbuilding heritage, its financial stability and a “very strong” family approach to business. “I see Palumbo Group as a perfect player able to achieve important goals in the actual phase of the yachting business,” he said in the statement.
