Heesen Yachts has announced that YN 16847, known as Project Margarita was sold in late May to a  seafaring enthusiast who will use the boat for family cruising.

Project Margarita is the first of the newly styled vessels in the award-winning 47-metre class, a series of models that Heesen considers will be “icons of classic contemporary yacht design.”

Frank Laupman has designed the timeless lines of YN 16847 which offers 180 square metres of exterior space for its 12 guests.

Zero speed stabilisers will ensure maximum comfort at anchor and the well-engineered round bilge hull with bulbous bow, powered by two MTU 8V 4000 M63, will ensure smooth and safe cruising in all sea conditions and a range of 4,000nm at 12 knots.

After intensive sea trials in the North Sea, Project Margarita will be delivered to her owners on June 30 2014 for summer cruising in the Mediterranean and will be available for inspection at the Monaco Yacht Show next September.
