George Mei takes on the role of vice president at Heysea Yachts. He has travelled the globe extensively and has delivered more than 23 yachts, ranging from 15m to 42m.
Leading Chinese yacht-maker Heysea Yachts has announced the appointment of George Mei to the role of vice president. Mei has over 17 years’ experience in the yachting industry.
Prior to joining Heysea Yachts Mei served at a major Asia’s shipyards including Hong Kong-based Kingship, Tricon/NISI and IAG Yachts. In addition to management, he was responsible for production, project management, budget control and vendor selection, to name but a few.
Mei has travelled the globe extensively and has delivered more than 23 yachts, ranging from 15m to 42m. Working at general manager at IAG Yachts Mei built and delivered the 42m yacht King Baby 140 and the 40m yacht Serenity 133. Both projects were commissioned by American clients.
“With the arrival of George Mei to the Heysea team, who will be responsible of the production of yachts for export, we trust the targeted construction and delivery timeline will be shortened significantly,” says the shipyard in a statement.
