JFA Yachts of France has signed an order for a Privilege Serie 8 by Long Island. The news comes not long after the French yard teamed up with Privilege Marine to offer a new range of sailing catamarans from 50ft-100ft.

The Privilege Serie 8 by Long Island is a sister ship to JFA’s WindQuest, but with a different interior and a hard top on the flybridge that can be closed in bad weather. Designed by naval architect Marc Lombard, the yacht’s hull is made of aluminium while the deck and superstructure is built out of composite material.

The “must-have” on the Privilege Serie 8 by Long Island is, according the JFA, the owner’s cabin. “Stretching across the full beam of the yacht, this exceptionally large suite offers a superb view on 180°, never before seen on a sailing or even on a motor yacht of this size,” reads a statement. “A few more steps give access to a door opening on a private deck just forward of the owner’s cabin.”

The port hull houses the owner’s bathroom, a three-bed children’s cabin and another guest cabin is aft. There is also a guest cabin in the starboard hull, as well as the crew quarters including the skipper’s own cabin, the crew cabin, the galley and mess.

The Privilege Serie 8 by Long Island offers 124sq m of total floor space and can accommodate nine guests and four crew.
