Otam shipyard in Italy has begun construction of hull #4 of its 80HT Millennium, a 25.5m motoryacht. The new build follows on from the progression made on the SD 35 currently in build.

The yard’s says the decision to begin the project without a commission was dictated by the high number of requests and concrete ongoing negotiations. The move is also based on the desire to shorten delivery times, while in any case maintaining the total customization features.

“Every detail of the new OTAM 80 hull #4 is customizable according to the client’s needs. The same client will find reduced and therefore improved delivery times thanks to the venture construction that the yard has decided to undertake,” the shipyard explains in a statement.

The OTAM 80 retains all the technical featuresof its predecessors. Her deep-V hull is built entirely of resin and Aramat and designed to deliver performance and comfort.

Propulsion is based on two MTU M94 engines developing 2600 hp at 2450 RPM and their respective Arneson Drive 15 A 1 L transmissions. The yacht is expected to reach 40ks at cruising speed.
