New 42m project is hull #2 in the Long Range series of steel and aluminium yachts. The 137-footer vessel is due for completion in 2017
Italy’s Overmarine Group has announced the sale of a new Mangusta Oceano 42. This is the second 42m steel and aluminium yacht from the Long Range series to be sold. Hull #1 is scheduled to touch the water on June 4.
“When we decided to enter a different market segment to the one in which we have been a leading figure and undisputed leader for many years, we were convinced and also fully aware of the fact we’d be able to play a key role on this market. This further sale, and the interest the model has aroused even before its official presentation at the September boat shows, confirm we are clearly on the right track,” comments Francesco Frediani, Group commercial director.
The shipyard says that painstaking attention has been paid to comfort, including noise levels, stability both at anchor and underway, and the use of last generation technologies and materials.
She has been designed to accommodate up to twelve guests and seven crewmembers. Naval architecture is work of Alberto Mancini.
Overmarine’s Oceano range comprises a 42m, 46m and 55m models.
