Italy’s Overmarine Group has announced the sale of two Maxi Open yachts to the US – a Mangusta 165 and a Mangusta 94.

The Mangusta 165 is the current flagship of the Mangusta fleet and the third in the series sold to the US over the past three years, while the Mangusta 94 was the first new model to be introduced to the market two years ago. It was recently launched in Europe, where the first two units were delivered.

Overmarine attributes its success to intense strategic planning and investment, focusing on product development and the strengthening of production, distribution and HR. In terms of product development, greater attention was paid to increasing onboard comfort to meet the different functional and operational requirements of North American clients.

The company has also benefited from the appointment of Miami-based Stefano Arlunno as its dedicated area manager for the Americas.

“These investments have now started to bear fruit,” says group commercial director Francesco Frediani. “The sale of these two Maxi Open yachts confirms that American clients appreciate the technical engineering characteristics and functional setup of our yachts. We can say that, even in the States, the Mangusta brand is increasingly more associated with products of a high technical content and exceptional onboard comfort, able to arouse those feelings only top, renowned Italian brands arouse.”

The Overmarine Group builds luxury maxi open and displacement yachts under the Mangusta and Mangusta Oceano brands, as well as Effebi-branded commercial and military ships. The company is headquartered in Viareggio, Italy.
