Perini Navi Group has completed the mast stepping of hull C.2130, the yard’s most recent bew build.
The launch of the vessel, christened Dahlak, is scheduled to take place on Saturday 5th March 2016.
The 51.4m carbon fibre mast is combined with a 14m furling boom and composite standing rigging for a sail plan surface area that exceeds 1,870sq m.
The yacht has been built entirely on site at the group’s Picchiotti shipyard in La Spezia. Her hull lines are work of Philippe Briand.
Designed for fast and easy sailing, the yacht is constructed entirely of Sealium aluminium alloy.
Perini Navi says the yachts boasts several technical innovations enhances performance, sail handling and onboard comfort, including electric captive winches engineered in-house and a Lithium polymer battery system for silent running.
