Dutch superyacht builder Amels has launched the 272ft motoryacht Here comes the sun. This 83m vessel is the shipyard’s largest vessel built to date and the flagship of the Limited Edition range. She is on schedule for delivery by the end of the year.

“I knew she would be stunning,” comments Yavor Nenov, the owners’ representative and project manager. “She’s very impressive and I think she’s a credit to the yard and all the hundreds of craftsmen working on her,” he adds.

Commenting on the project, Amels managing director Rob Luijendijk says: “Here comes the sun is a wonderful example of owners stepping up to larger yachts within the Amels Limited Editions range.

“Our approach gives owners a great head start as well as the flexibility for customisation at the highest level. It also proves our large yacht building expertise – absolute top quality and smooth production,” Luijendijk concludes.

Amels has also released a video featuring the launch of this 83m superyacht. Victor Caminada, Amels marketing manager, tells in the flm that six new build projects are currently underway at the yard in Vlissingen as well as two refit projects. He also points out that works on all these projects progress on schedule.

Here comes the sun features six decks and a volume of 2,827gt. The exterior lines of this Amels 272 motoryacht have been pencilled by Tim Heywood and the interiors are work of Winch Design.
