Solent Refit has also reported that it has signed a number of preferred agreements for emergency response, refit and repair work for local fast and slow speed commercial companies, plus an increase in superyacht refit enquires.

UK superyacht yard Solent Refit has announced that the 55m motoryacht Turquoise has arrived at its facility in Southampton.

Launched in 2011, the yacht will be tented in and have a full hull repaint and a whole host of refined works. This 55m vessel is now for sale with Burgess Yachts and Cecil Wright & Partners.

“Southampton has seen a huge increase in yachts coming to the South UK. No more so than Solent Refit, which is now one of the Souths busiest and thriving Refit & Repair yards. The yard now sees at least one vessel entering and exiting the yard each week,” says business development manager Ashley Hurrell.

In addition, Solent Refit had reported it has signed a number of preferred agreements for emergency response, refit and repair work for local fast and slow speed commercial companies, plus an increase in superyacht refit enquires.

Hurrell explains: “It couldn’t be a better time to have a refit in the UK. Solent Refit has also built a solid reputation for looking after our client’s pre and post refits. Flying out to the Med to carry out surveys and gaining a detailed specification to hand over and sea trials.”

Solent Refit offers 24/7 security, 14 undercover bays up to 45m in length and 19m in height with three outside bays up to 65m.

Vessels come out on a horizontal slipway capable of taking up to 1200-tonne, 65m LOA, 12m beam, 4.5m draught. The facility also offers 15 deepwater berths up to 90m with fresh water and electricity.
