Sanlorenzo has launched Scorpion, the eighth yacht in its 46 Steel line which it has been building since 2010.

The launch ceremony, officiated by an orthodox priest, was attended by the Russian owner with his family and friends, his crew and all the Sanlorenzo staff who have been involved in designing and building the yacht for the past two years.

Scorpion is a five-deck displacement superyacht in steel which can navigate for more than 3,500 nautical miles without refuelling.

The Sanlorenzo Superyacht Division is currently building two further new models which come to a value of more than 100 million Euro: the first two units of the brand new explorer range 460EXP (42m, 460gt to be launched in September at the Monaco Yacht Show 2015) and the first two units of the new Sanlorenzo flagship 52Steel (52m displacement superyacht in steel that will be launched in 2016).
