The Genoa-based shipyard has presented the new model during a press conference at the Monaco Yacht Show 2016. In addition, the Italian boatbuilder has reported the sale of the first units of Tankoa S701, its new 71m motoryacht.
Tankoa Yachts has chosen the Monaco Yacht Show 2016 to unveil its latest project, the Tankoa S621. The newest project by the boutique shipyard in Genoa is pencilled by Francesco Paszkowski Design Studio, with naval architecture by Vincenzo Ruggiero.
“When we started designing the model S621, together with Francesco Paszkowski Design Studio, we were looking for a new kind of yacht. At the end of the journey we reached something we consider unique,” comments the shipyard president Guido Orsi.
Commenting on the design concept, Francesco Paszkowski explains: “New Tankoa S621 is inspired by the first two yachts of the shipyard – the 69m motoryacht Suerte and Tankoa S501- laying the foundation of the contemporary era of Tankoa Yachts.”
The Tankoa S621 is to be equipped with two Caterpillar engines complying to IMO 3 EPA 2. She is expected to cruise at a speed of 14ks and capable of reaching 4,500nm at 12ks.
Tankoa S701 sold
The Italian shipyard has also confirmed the sale of its 71m project S701. The 71m Tankoa S701 will be an LY3 yacht, built to MCA commercial specifications and will be officially presented at the Monaco Yacht Show 2018.
In other news, the Genoa-based shipyard has reported that construction of the 50m project S501 is on schedule for her delivery in April 2017.
