Tankoa Yachts has sold a 69m (226ft) yacht (S693), currently under construction at its Genoa facilities, to an Eastern European client.
In early 2014 an agreement was signed between the shipyard and Yacht-Ology, Michel Karsenti’s company, a yacht consultancy company with offices in Dubai, Fort Lauderdale and Moscow. Yacht-Ology will now assist with the marketing, product development and sales of Tankoa’s yachts.
Francesco Paszkowski, who designed Tankoa’s first two projects, was asked to revise the lines of the 69m yacht in collaboration with Yacht-Ology in a mission to make it a timeless modern classic pleasure yacht just under the 70 metre mark.
Now sold and under construction, a full displacement yacht with a 1,300 + Gross Tonnage, S693 will be able to achieve a maximum speed of 16.5 knots with a cruising speed of 15 knots and an economical long range speed of 12.5 knots with over 5,000 nm range. Tankoa describes S693’s core values as being geared towards efficiency, reliability and practicability.
S693 will be officially delivered in the second half of July 2015 and will be available for charter from August. She will then be exhibited at the Monaco Yacht Show 2015 and plans are being drawn-up to take her to Florida for the Fort Lauderdale Boat Show 2015 and Art Basel.
