Quinta Essentia, the first E Motion 55 hybrid motoryacht built by The Italian Sea Group, has left the shed on Thursday, March 24. The vessel is the first of four launches the Carrara-based shipyard is scheduled to complete in 2016.

The 55m motoryacht is the biggest ever built by Admiral Yachts. She will be followed by the 75m currently under construction and due for launch in 2018.

Built for an experience owner, Quinta Essentia has been designed to provide a low environmental impact in comparison with other similar yachts of the same size with traditional propulsion.

The Admiral E Motion 55 carries an advanced hybrid propulsion system which integrates two traditional engines with two electric motors, also connected to variable speed generators.

The system also features a traditional transmission with two shafts. “The entire propulsion system and the whole build technique guarantee the most silent, safest and incredibly efficient navigation on board this new superb yacht,” the shipyard claims.

Other yachts to touch water in 2016 are a 50m Admiral belonging to the C-Force series, a 38m Impero RPH and a 39m vessel built in aluminium with a semi-displacement hull, which is due for launch in September.

The Italian Sea Group operates the Admiral, Admiral Sail and Tecnomar brand in addition to the NCA and NCA Refit yards providing services for yachts over 60m.

The shipyard covers an area of 100,000sq m and is equipped with 11 sheds, 2,000m docks, 200m drydock, and a total lifting capacity of 1,000 tons.
